The space and natural environment of our lodge create a unique atmosphere of peace, restoration and creativity, making it an ideal location for retreats.

The Spaces

  • Large wooden floored space with stunning views - ideal for yoga (mats, bolsters and blocks available)

  • Circular seating perfect for discussion (formal or informal)

  • Long table which can seat 12 with ease (and can be extended up to 14) for meals and workshops

  • Two day-rooms in between the bedrooms in the main lodge which provide additional space for peace and contemplation if required.

  • Additional small deck for quiet sitting, small-group meditation or a yoga space for one-to-one/private practice.

  • Ten-acre tea and coconut estate for group walks or individual contemplation

  • Infinity swimming pool

Accommodation

Tekanda Lodge can sleep up to 12 people sharing. If you (the host) would like to use one of the rooms, then you can have 10 guests in shared rooms. Please refer to the Lodge Rooms and Cabanas pages for further information on our rooms.

Catering

All retreats at the Lodge include breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food is prepared on site in our commercial kitchen.

We pride ourselves on providing delicious dishes incorporating the freshest tropical produce available on our doorstep aiming to integrate the very best of mouth-watering Sri Lankan cuisine with global influences.

Our head chef Rana is internationally trained and menus can be discussed in advance and tailored to guests’ requirements.

Additional activities

Alongside the chosen focus of your retreat, there are a range of activities that can be provided by external providers for an additional cost.

Surfing (beginner, intermediate or advanced lessons with qualified instructors Yoga (Vinyasa, Slow Flow & Yin, with Pranayama and Meditation) Massage – a range of therapists are available to come to the Lodge. Temple Tours
