We will do our best to accommodate special requests (such as early check-in and after-hours arrival) subject to availability.

Children

We are very sorry, but we cannot accommodate children under the age of 6. Children aged 6 or above and babies under the age of 12 months are allowed at the Lodge. However, guests should still be aware that there are features such as the pool and retaining walls in the garden that may still pose risks and therefore children will need to be well-supervised at all times.

Room Occupancy

The room price is based on two guests sharing. However some rooms have the capacity to take a third guest if required and Cabana Kale has the capacity to sleep two additional guests on built-in daybeds. Guests occupying an extra bed in any room will be charged as follows:

Under the age of 12: No charge
Aged between 13-17: £30
18 and above: £50

Rate

The room rate is on the basis of Bed & Breakfast, including any applicable statutory levies.

Non-Resident Guests

In order to preserve the home-from-home feel at Tekanda and the security of our guests, we do not allow non-resident visitors at Tekanda Lodge without the permission of the Lodge manager. 

Pets

Unfortunately Tekanda Lodge cannot accommodate pets.

Smoking

All our rooms and any area in the immediate vicinity of the building are NON-SMOKING due to the flammable nature of the building materials. We have two dedicated smoking areas if required. 

Transfers and activities

The staff at Tekanda Lodge will be delighted to assist with arranging transfers, excursions and activities but please note the ‘liability policy below’.

Liability

The hotel's liability shall be limited to wilful acts and gross negligence by its employees or agents. Therefore, Tekanda Lodge, it’s employees and agents do not accept responsibility for any death, personal injury, damage or loss of personal belongings unless it is caused by any fault of their own, meaning failure to use reasonable skill and care in performing duties.

Third Party Liability: The hotel, its staff and agents do not accept any liability for services rendered by third parties to guests, notwithstanding that such services may be arranged by its staff or agents. Any claim, demand, charge, suit or damages which may be incurred by the guests shall be made directly with such third parties and the hotel shall render all reasonable assistance in this regard.

Please note, while there are security guards at Tekanda Lodge and in-room safes, the hotel and its agents cannot take any responsibility for the safety of valuables on the premises.

Pool

The hotel does not have a lifeguard or pool fence. The pool is used by guests at their own risk. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied while at the pool. Please do not bring glass or breakables to the pool area.

Dietary requirements

Tekanda Lodge will endeavour to meet the dietary requirements of all its guests, however, as a small hotel there is no guarantee this will always be possible. Please give us as much advance information on your requirements and the team will do their best to assist. 

Food and Alcohol 

Whilst we cannot offer all-day dining and main meals are at set-times, snacks are always available between main meals and variations on meal times can always be discussed. We ask that guests do not bring alcohol or food from outside to be consumed at the hotel. 

Noise

No parties are permitted on the premises and due to the peaceful nature of the property all guests are requested to respect the 10pm ‘quiet time’ policy. Guests should also be aware that while Tekanda Lodge is one of the most peaceful destinations on the southern coast, there are occasions when the sounds of local village life can drift across the valley. 

Cancellation Policy

The full policy is available in the terms and conditions but in summary:

*If your booking is for two rooms or less:

Bookings cancelled 30 days or more prior to the date of arrival: no fee.
Bookings cancelled between 29 and 14 days prior to the date of arrival: 50% cancellation fee. Bookings cancelled within 14 days prior to the date of arrival: 100% cancellation fee.
No shows: 100% cancellation fee.

Reservations can be modified free of charge (subject to availability) up until 30 days prior to your original check-in date.

*If your booking is for three rooms or more and/or for exclusive use of Tekanda Lodge:

Bookings cancelled more than 90 days of arrival: 10% cancellation fee.
Bookings cancelled within 90 days of arrival: 25% cancellation fee.
Bookings cancelled within 60 days of arrival: 100% cancellation fee.
No shows: 100% cancellation fee.

Reservations can be modified free of charge (subject to availability) up until 90 days prior to your original check-in date.

* If your booking is a block-booking for more than two weeks

Bookings cancelled more than 90 days of arrival: 10% cancellation fee.
Bookings cancelled within 90 days of arrival: 50% cancellation fee.
Bookings cancelled within 60 days of arrival: 100% cancellation fee.
No shows: 100% cancellation fee.

If reservations are modified, no refunds will be issued if your new reservation value is less than the original reservation value. If your new booking value is greater than the original booking value, the difference will be charged at the time of change.

If a guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent will not be refunded.

Refunds will be processed within 30 days from the date of cancellation and in the same currency as originally paid.

These are our standard cancellation policies. For certain bookings (events, large groups, 3rd party retreats etc) they may be adjusted. The cancellation policy will be clearly shown in your booking confirmation if it differs from the standard policy above and will take precedent over these standard terms.

Tekanda Properties Ltd Terms and Conditions, the Cancellation Policy and the Tekanda Lodge Policies all form part of our contract and should be read and understood before confirming your booking.
